Discover the beauty and symbolism of Tenango embroidery, a traditional textile art originating from the municipality of Tenango de Doria in the Otomí Sierra of Hidalgo, Mexico. Known for its vibrant colors and imaginative depictions of flora, fauna, everyday life, religious traditions, harvest scenes, and Día de Muertos imagery, Tenango embroidery is a rich cultural expression that brings symbolic and almost fantastical stories to life.
This workshop is led by instructors who have the proper authorization and permission to teach this traditional technique and share its cultural significance respectfully and authentically.
