Content Policy

Effective: September 2, 2026

Where our content comes from

Event listings are compiled from official embassy websites, public event platforms, and announcements published by the hosts themselves, refreshed daily. Images and descriptions on event pages originate from those announcements and remain the property of their owners; we display them to identify the events they announce, and we take requests about them seriously (see below). Field notes are written by verified attendees and reviewed before publishing. Editorial guides and summaries are written by Stamps DC.

Corrections

If an event detail is wrong, tell us and we will fix it fast, usually the same day. Hosts and attendees alike can write to hello@stampsdc.com or use the contact form with a link to the page and the correct information.

For embassies and event hosts

If you host events we list and want something changed, we want to hear from you, and a person reads every request. Write from an official address to hello@stampsdc.com. We respond within five business days, and in practice much sooner.

  • Corrections and updated details are applied promptly.
  • Image removal requestsfrom the image's owner are honored.
  • Listing removal requests are handled case by case, in conversation with you. Announcements of public events are public information, and our purpose is to bring your events a larger audience; where a listing causes a genuine problem (a private event listed in error, a security concern, an event announced then withdrawn), we act on it quickly.
  • A better channel: if you would rather we work from a feed, a calendar, or direct announcements instead of your website, we are glad to. That usually gets your events listed sooner and more accurately.

Copyright complaints

If you believe content on Stamps DC infringes your copyright, send a notice to hello@stampsdc.com with "Copyright notice" in the subject, including:

  • the URL of the material on our site;
  • identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
  • your name, organization, and contact information;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
  • your physical or electronic signature.

We remove or disable access to infringing material promptly on receipt of a complete notice. If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice with the same contact information, an identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was in error. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Disputing a field note

Field notes are the honest opinions of verified attendees, and honest opinions stay up, including critical ones. If a note about your event contains a factual falsehood, identifies a private individual, or otherwise violates our Terms of Service, report it with a link and the specific concern. We review every report against the same grounds we screen submissions with, and we remove content that violates them. We do not remove a note because it is unflattering.

Reporting anything else

For anything this page does not cover, including safety concerns or content that appears unlawful, contact hello@stampsdc.com. Security issues have their own channel: security@stampsdc.com.
