No registration or tickets required — just show up.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. Embassies are spread across NW Washington.

Bring a government-issued photo ID — some embassies require it for entry.

Start early (doors open at 9:30 AM) to hit the most popular embassies first.

Capital Bikeshare is great for hopping between clusters of embassies.

Parking is extremely limited. Take Metro to Dupont Circle or Woodley Park.

Pack a reusable water bottle — some embassies have long outdoor lines.

Pick up a free passport booklet at the first embassy you visit and collect stamps throughout the day.
